Hey everyone, well so far I have recieved some help with great resources, links to some foundations that help people pay for some past due medical bills, and also was directed to a great networking/support resource for cystic fibrosis.

I just wanted to encourage you to keep trying. Whatever it is that you are going through, nothing has gone unseen by the Lord, and He will always make a way for you, even if it seems there is no way.

God bless you and I just wanted to encourage you not to give up. This world is full of caring and generous people. Money helps fix many situations I know (we need it too) but just remember that this world is temporary, and so is the situation you are in...even if it feels like it's been going on for years, and you haven't had a brake. Just keep praying and know that He is hearing your prayers. His timing it perfect, He is not slow or uncaring...and everything good in your life, truely that is good in your life, it is from the Lord. Don't forget that.

If you ever are frusterated, and just want someone to pray with you, I am here.

If you haven't checked out Nathan's web site yet, please take a minute and do that.  www.contrerashome.us Thank you very much, God bless you

My son Nathan needs feeding therapy desperately. It's quite $$ and we can't afford it. He hasn't been able to have it since Feb. if you can help it would be a huge blessing. Please share about him, he's 2 has cystic fibrosis and a feeding tube. There's a pay pal on his web site: www.contrerashome.us Also, if you can' donate but could just pass along his info, and please share his web site with others and ask them to try and give if they're able. It would help so much. Thank you.

Hi Redman, well I understand the single parent stuff. I was one with my older son for 9 yrs. It is hard so I feel for you. Depending on where you live, since you are a single parent, sometimes there are more community services that are open to you, that aren't as easily accesable to other familes. I could call resource and referal in your area and see waht programs you qualify for. If your not working, you should be able to get foodstamps etc. Some sort of state insurance, and possibly unimployment. Also, if you go to your unimployment office web site, regardless if you qualify for it or not, they will have jobs poseted where they are hiring in your comunity. You can try a temp agency also, or a daily labor wadge place. If you can't afford child care, you should be able to get that covered through your state as well. Demendong on what you are qualified to do, you can also scout those kinds of jobs in your area. Check with hospitals, hotels, security jobs, restraunts, resorts, schools ect to see what jobs are availble there. Even if it's not your "ideal job" at least you will be able to find something, and you can always keep trying to keep an eye out for something better. I know it's hard, but the Lord will take care of you guys. He cares about you and your daughter. I am sorry that I don't have any money to offer you. But I do know that if you just keep trying, it will come. Te mountians do move, and that God can give you strength. Just be the best dad you can be, and know that your daughter is watching how you handle this time. Any legitament work, no matter how trivial it may seem is honorable work and God will bless you for it. You'll be in my prayers.

Hey everyone. Nathan's got strep throat right now, so please keep him in your prayers. It's easily treatable, but still, he's real feverish and just I hate it when he's not feeling well. We still need some help with getting to the word aout about his site. Please pass it along, even if you can't directly give anything yourself. www.contrerashome.us Seriousl y, even if people can only give 5 or 20 bucks. It will all add up.Thanks again, and God bless you. Oh, we are pregnant and I have been having some complications with the preg, but so far the baby's ok. No, we weren't planning on trying to have another baby during all this other stress/bills and Nathan's illness...but aparently the Lord knows better than we do and has seen fit to bless us with another child. Please pray also that this one won't have cystic fibrosis. There is a 1 in 4 chance it will. But we are praying for a healthy child, so please pray also. Thanks again for your time.

Hi, Nathan (2 yr old with very bad cystic fibrosis)right now has a bad staff infection in his lungs. We had to do so many things for him medically that we weren't able to pay our Feb. mortgage. We have most of it, but we are about 500 short. If anyone could help it would be a huge blessing. There is a pay pal at the bottom of Nathan's Web site. Please try to help if you can. www.contrerashome.us Thank you very much.

Please share Nathan's web site with other's and pass it on. www.contrerashome.us There is a pay-pal account on there, and we have received two donations now. I can't even begin to tell you how blessed we feel and humbled that people are reaching out to us. God bless you guys, and PLEASE don't stop telling everyone you can about his web site. We just found out on Friday, that his feeding therapy that was being covered (finally and thankfully)by a foundation for the last month, isn't going to be able to continue to do it for the next two months as they had promised. Nathan hasn't eaten by mouth in over a year. He is strictly g-tube fed now. He really and desperaptely needs this therapy. Please pray also!! We were so happy when this foundation said they would help this time, in Jan. this year because last year they turned us down. Pray for a miracle, and for the money to start coming in, please. Any contribution no matter how small all adds up. If people could give anything they could, between $5-100.00 it would make all the diffrence in the world to us right now. Thanks you, God bless you.

Hey everyone, we are still needing the financial help with the co-pay's, and right now just making it through the weeks ahead is going to be a real challenge. Someone sent us a small $2.00 donation thru Nathan's pay-pal on his website:www.contrerashome.us and I really appreciated it. If we could get some more help like that, it sure could add up quickly. If you can give anything, it doesn't have to be alot. Please, tell your family and friends, call some of your churches in your area...be as creative as you would feel like being. We just are really trying to get our heads above water. Soul Light did direct us to some great helpful foundations, and sites and I am using those avenues to get some help. But those things will take time before we even hear if they accepted us. So please, try...every little bit is a blessing. Please continue to pass along his website to others....you never know who somone else might know that could really be a blessing. Thank you again for your time and care.

Hi everyone, we just got Nathans' book onto Amazon today. If you would please copy and paste this link: http://www.amazon.com/Nathans- Story-Lesli-Contreras/dp/14120 67839/sr=8-8/qid=1170894666?ie =UTF8&s=books&tag2=cysticfibro 05-20ink: It would be such a blessing if you would pass that link along with a message, just saying to please check out this book about this little boy with very severe and rare cystic fibrosis. He has a feeding tube, and has been in the hospital 12 times since his diagnosis ni April of '05. He has a web site also: www.contrerashome.us and if you could include that, it would be SO helpful. I know I wish I had money to help you guys, and I know probably some of you wish you had some to give to us as well. But for sure, if you could do this, it would be a blessing...just pass it along to all the people in your email address book, or as many as you want. Please, anything could help...please help me try this. God bless you deeply.

Hello again, I still have not had much luck getting to many respnces from people about our sistuation. Are there truely people who come to this site, with the thought inmind to financially help soem of the people requesting it? We need financial help, more than most people could give, and more than we can come up with on our own for things dealing with our son Nathan, and his severe cystic fibrosis/feeding tube issues. If by a long shot, there is someone out there that sees this, we are up a creek, and really have tried EVERYTHING in our community, applied for every foundation here, and state aid. I am still trying diffrrent things, and we are planning to have a benefit dinner in April to help out. BUT in the mean time, thing financially are incredibly stressful. Please write us if you can help. www.contrerashome.us is our son's site, and there is a pay pal account there. Thanks for your time and care.

Hi, I am new here, and frankly writting as a last ditch effort to try and find some more help... We have a little boy with severe and rare cystic fibrosis and a feeding tube (g-tube). I have tried applying for every state aid available, and even if he is accepted, financially we are turned down. My husband works full time, but because of all the monthly out-put being so high, and his medication and perscription formula being a priority, we are litteraly hanging on by a thread. We have insurance through my husband's employer, but our co-pays are still through the roof. When our son was first diagnosed with c.f. the local doctors that take care of CF babies and patients, were out of net work on our policy with Blue Cross Blue Sheild, so form April 05-Sept 05, we had to pay out of pocket for all his many visits and things related to the CF and his medications. There were only a few things they partially reimburshed us for. In the first year of his life he had 3 surgeries during that time, including the g-tube placement and a Nissen wrap(tying the bottom of his espoghagus with the top part of his stomach)plus that surgery ended up messing him up, and he was hospitalized for 6 weeks form Nov-end of Dec, and he was traumatized so much durring that time is when he stopped eating by mouth completely. Currently we still spend over 500/month on co-pays and have a 4,000 deductable, with 1000 for therapies. Since it is the beginning of the new year, we have to pay out that deductable before the 80/20 plan kicks in, and the full 4000 before he will be completely covered.I have written to a few foundations, and we have been able to receive some aid with our morgage and a few bills from time to time from a few local churches and private parties which we have been very thankful for. It has helped and we are incredibly greatful for those blessings, but we are now again struggeling towards the end of every month.Almost all of our bills are at least a month behind, and my husband is wroking all that he can, plus trying to work another home bussiness on the side to try and bring in a little something extra. I started selling picture frames I have been painting, and just anything we can do to raise some money and help. My son also has to have occupational therapy to help he swallow. He hasn't eaten solid foods by mouth for over a year. We had wanted to try and take him to a feeding clinic in Richmond Virginia that we heard of, but it will cost way to much for us right now. We just need help keeping his therapy going as it is. If there is anyone, who, for whatever reason might see this, and can help us financially it would be a blessing beyond measure. If you personally can not help, but you think you know someone else who could. Please, please check out my son's web site, www.contrerashome.us there is a paypal link there and you can make a donation on line. There is a sweet video on the bottom of the picture page, and I would ask that if you have a few minutes, please watch/listen to it. God bless you, and I will pray that someone sees this soon. We desperately truely do need the help. We appreciate your time, care and prayers.
